THE RELIEF OF FOX RIVER GROVE - Spring Campaign Battle 5

The Relief of Fox River Grove Commences.

The Union of Pacts Commonwealth has taken a slight lead in the Spring Campain. This last battle will see if they can turn this into a decisive victory, or will the Empire be able to continue its goals of reduction of UPC gains?

With the Union of Pacts Commonwealths destruction of the Empires Field Army at Ridgeville it freed up troops to rush to the relief of the besieged town of Fox River Grove. This key point along the Fox River if taken would provide the Empire a strong position to continue campaigns into the Northern Territory of the UPC, while its relief would secure this area for the Commonwealth for years to come.

This would be an attack Vs defense battle, with the attackers holding a fort under siege able to launch a supporting attack into the defenders rear if the opportunity arose.

Empire Forces Surge Forward to Reinforce the Center and Hold the UPC on the Flanks.

UPC's Massed Grenadiers Take the Hill, While the Light Infantry in the Woods Drive Back the Empire's Cavalry. The Second Line of Empire Infantry Prepares to Meet the Advance.

On the Right Flank the UPC Drives the Empires Light Infantry from the Woods and Continues Forward in the Center. Undaunted the Empire Continues to Bring Forward more Reserves to Contest the Next Line of Defenses.
Despite their wave like advance taking one defensive line after the other the UPC was running out of daylight. As darkness fell the Empire still tenaciously held on to their last line of defense coving the trench lines. The relief was halted short of its goal and rumor of addition approaching Empire forces forced the breakoff from the battle.
Empire Forces Still Manning the Siege Line.

The Spring Campaign was over. The UPC had won a minor victory over the Empire. Both sides would go home and lick their wounds while preparing for the next coming Campaign Season.

THE BATTLE OF GROSS POINT CROSSING - Spring Campaign Battle 3

As the war rages back and forth the Empire shifts its focus from the southern sector to the east. They encounter the well-fortified Commonwealth positions along the Big Wet Prairie River at the Gross Point Crossings. Undaunted, they mass and are set to assault the position head on.

The key objectives for the Empire would be to take the bridges across the Big Wet Prairie River and break the fortified hill position of the UPC.

Early Battle View Looking South. The Empire's Assault on the South Bridge and Supporting Cavalry can be Seen at the Top. To the Upper Left is the Empire's Massed Attack on Gross Point Village.

Mid Battle. Swift's Regiment of Cuirassier for the UPC Have Driven the Empire's Lord Pawling's Cuirassier Back Across the South Bridge, Thus Splitting the Empire's Infantry on the North Side of the Bridge in Two.

The Battle Swings Back the Other Way as Massed Empire Cavalry Drives Back Across the South Bridge, but the Time Taken has Allowed the UPC Infantry to Form a Battleline to Meet the Threat.

Having Driven All the UPC Infantry from the Forward Redoubts and Captures the Bridges Along the River the Empire Begins the Assault on the Now Under Manned Main Fortifications.

Massed and Ready the Empire Starts the Attack on the UPC's Walled Enclosure. Both Armies are Nearing Collapse from the Intense Fighting of the Day. Will this Final Assault be Enough to Break the UPC?

The Scene at the Battles End. The UPC Assailed on all Sides but Still Holding On. How Had the Defenders Managed This?

The Heroes of Gross Point Village. They Stopped Every Attempt to Dislodge Them and Because of Their Efforts Lead to the Breaking of the Empire's Forces at the Battle.
EPPELOG: This was a very close-run game. Both sides were on the brink of army collapse and the Empire players could taste victory in their next turns assaults, but it was not to be. The UPC's Baysmoon Grenadiers did what they had done all game and broke the last attackers sent against them.
Victory Points stand at: Empire 1, UPC 3

BATTLE OF PARK RIDGE - Spring Campaign Battle 2

Having held the Empire forces at North Brook the UPC follows up their retiring foes. The Empire makes its stand on a low hill line along the Park Ridge. Wasting little time, the UPC prepares their assault looking to press the Empire back into their heartlands.

Park Ridge covers the Northwestern area just outside the key farm territory that feeds the vast Onion City. A loss by the Wolfenstein Empire here would mean devastation of these fields and extreme hardship for those in the Great Western City.

The Armies Deployed for Battle. The Wolfenstein Empire on the Left Hold the High Ground as the United Packs Commonwealth (UPC) on the Right Begin Their Assault.

With night falling the UPC could not win past to the green fields beyond. Both the army and the Empires Gleaming city have both been saved.

Dog Wars – Battle for the North - Battle of Northbrook

The first battle of the Dog Wars Campaign sees the might of the Wolfenstein Empire advancing into the Union of Packs Commonwealth’s northern lands. The Empire having secured the County Line Bridge and nearby crossings the previous day are preparing to continue their advance in the morning. During the night an advance force from the UPC has taken control of a small hamlet at the crossing of Salt Creek. As dawn approaches both forces prepare for the days coming battle.

In the end the Empire found itself check across the line. The Empire Command found it difficult to coordinate its three-pronged assault, while the UPC seemed to arrive just in time to hold off each new attack. At days end the Empire was forced to withdraw and seek a different avenue of advance.
